Who we are
This website is operated by Orderrit LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company ("Orderrit", "we", "us"). This policy covers the Orderrit marketing website (including orderrit.com and its pages), our forms, our live chat, and the calls, emails and text messages we send to people who contact us.
The online ordering stores we build for restaurants, and the information restaurant guests enter when they place orders there, are covered by separate terms provided with that service.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Demo requests: your name, email, phone number (optional), restaurant name, city and state, number of locations, how you take orders today, what matters most to you, the best time to reach you, and anything you add in the notes.
- Support questions: your name, email, restaurant name (optional) and your question.
- Live chat: the messages you send, plus any name or email you choose to share in the chat or its offline message form.
- Emails and texts you send us: your message and your email address or phone number.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data that any website receives, such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit. Our hosting provider and the services listed below receive this data to deliver the site.
- Chat data: our live chat provider uses cookies and similar technology to keep your conversation connected and to show us basic details such as the page you're on and your approximate location.
- Website analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site, such as which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located (city or region), what device and browser they use, which site referred them, and whether they request a demo. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We have turned off Google's advertising features, and we don't use this data to show you ads.
- Your browser's own storage: if you type a restaurant name in our Studio, your browser remembers it for that tab so it can fill in the demo form. It stays on your device and isn't sent to us unless you submit a form.
We don't use advertising cookies or ad tracking. To stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits, you can block cookies in your browser or install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How we use your information
- To respond to your demo request or question, and to schedule and hold your demo.
- To contact you by email, phone call or text message about your request, and to follow up afterward.
- To provide support through chat, email and our forms.
- To keep our website working, secure and free of spam.
- To improve our website and services.
- To comply with the law and protect our rights.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number and agree to be contacted, we may text you about your demo request, such as scheduling, reminders and follow-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- To stop texts, reply STOP at any time. We'll confirm and won't text you again unless you ask us to.
- For help, reply HELP or email support@orderrit.com.
- Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
- We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Phone numbers and consent are shared only with the service providers that help us send messages, and only for that purpose.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our website and business, and only as needed for them to do that work:
- Formspree receives our website forms and delivers them to our inbox.
- tawk.to runs our live chat and stores chat conversations.
- Netlify hosts our website.
- Google Analytics measures how visitors use our website (with Google's advertising features turned off).
- Google Fonts delivers the fonts used on our pages.
- Unsplash delivers some of the photos shown on our pages.
- The email, phone and text-messaging providers we use to contact you.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, sale or similar business transaction, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to you, provide our services, follow up and meet our legal and accounting obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, and we choose service providers that do the same. Our website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we take protecting your information seriously.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correction and deletion: email support@orderrit.com to ask what information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to confirm your identity.
- Texts: reply STOP to any text message.
- Emails: reply to any of our emails and ask us to stop, or email us directly.
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The live chat may not work fully if you do.
Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional privacy rights. We'll honor the rights that apply to you.
Children
Our website and services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website and services change. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on this page.
